About

I am entering the world of Blogs or Blogsphere with excitement and some degree of trepidation.

Why do it? Why not? What is there to lose? It should give me a chance to communicate with like minded souls perhaps more importantly -unlike minded souls that will expand my horizon and challenge my thinking. It is also a medium to be able to share my intersts, hobbies, hopes and fears as well as aspirations.

My choice of 3 Rs- Rave, Rant, Rage arose from my being an ex-schoolteacher so dedicated and dare I say controlled and controlling that I never got to do much of all of the above!

This is my opportunity to rave about books I have just read or have influenced my life i.e. On Chesil Beach by Ian McEwan recently. The Power of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale  and How to Win Friends and Influenced People by Dale Carnegie helped me navigate the rough and stormy road of my life. I love books. I always believe that one can’t be lonely with a good book for company.

My interest in gardening, quilting and collecting antiques, I hope I’ll be able to write about and share.

It is also a great venue to express ideas, learn to organize thoughts or express the musings of a mad housewife!

Hopefully, I’ll have less to rant or rage about! When I do, it will give me a chance to let off steam and give vent against injustice with justifiable reason without resulting in violence as I pride myself in being a very law abiding citizen!

You critics, blog surfers out there, be gentle, be kind. The pen is mightier than the sword.

Cheers!

I’ll share one of my favourite quote by Dylan Thomas:

“Do not go gentle into that goodnight,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.”
